- Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Kishu region of Japan.
- Binchotan charcoal is effective at absorbing odor, reducing water hardness, and improving the taste of drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
- 2 binchotan charcoal sticks are included in one package. Use 1 stick for 3 litres of water; each stick is approximately 0.98" to 1.2" in diameter and 4" in length.
- Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting dry.
- Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
